Twenty-five years ago, I’m sitting in a tree stand in Smith County, Kansas, waiting to hear the leaves crackle. They did, to my right. Squirrel or deer? It’s almost dusk, has to be a deer, right? I slowly pull up my bow and start to draw.

I wasn’t a deer, it was a Der. Darren, actually, but we call him “Der.”

“See anything?” he says. Probably not even aware that he’s wearing a camo hoodie.

This is nuts.

Twenty years later, I’m standing on a corner (not Winslow) watching cars drive around on my uber app. It’s not tracking the car, it’s tracking the phone in the car. Damn, we can build this now.

I started by talking to customers.

Hunters: “Happens all the time.”

Cops: “I never know where the other guys are.”

Ex-military: “New guys come into the battlespace and they fuck up.”

Build a Team.

Find a Developer.

Show some Traction.

Raise some Money.
